My artwork is a contemporary interpretation of traditional decorative arts.   He sees culture as the result of societies influencing and inspiring one another. I'm curious about the cross overs and connections between cultures that have been formed over the course of human history.

Japanese culture has been greatly influenced by Indian Buddhism, the title of this show “A-UN” is named after the mysterious coincidence that the first and the last letters are the same in both Sanskrit and Japanese language. The word A UN also means ‘the beginning’ and ‘the end’ in both languages.

In this series of digital and analogue diptych paintings, Kyomori explores and interprets the ambiguous relationships between different cultures and their influences.
